Construction Zone
Since our house was one of the first built on our block, that means construction is going on around us. The kids love it. They sit on the driveway and watch the big trucks and cranes. Ella waves and yells "Hi!" and "Bye!" to them as they drive by.

Twilight
Last summer, I was left out of all the conversations between my sister, my sis-in-law, and my best friend. The reason I was left out was because they had all read the Twilight series and I had not. I didn't know if I was for "Team Edward" or "Team Jacob." Once I started reading them, I couldn't put them down. Seriously, I was in the closet with my pillow and blanket until 3 or 4 in the morning! Amazing books. There are three in the series right now, with a fourth book to be released August 7- only 107 more days, but who is counting? I told my friends, here in Washington, about them and we've all loved them.
"Twilight" the movie is coming out at the end of this year, December 12th to be specific. I am so excited! Girl's Night Out!!!! I found a link on my friend's blog with clips of some behind-the-scenes look at the production of the movie.

Oh Edward and Bella...
Here is a picture of Charlie's house. The sad thing is- I saw this picture and thought, "There is Bella's truck and Charlie's car... hmm.. they're both home right now." They aren't real! So sad. They are filming it Portland. That's only a few hours away from me- anyone up for a road trip?!

Here are a couple of blogs of "Twilight Moms" that got to visit the set while shooting! I'm so jealous!

Soccer Season Begins
Ethan is so excited for soccer to start, even more excited that his dad is his coach! Kent recruited Chris (Reagran's 16 year-old-son) to help him coach. I am the official assistant coach, but I guess Kent felt we needed back up. Our first practice was yesterday and our first game is tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes!

Be Strong Myrick, we LOVE you!
Thank you everyone for your concern for Myrick. His surgery went well. He said he feels tired, but good.
Today my brother, Myrick, goes into have heart surgery! I wanted to post this darling picture of him and his son, Mav, to give him the courage to be super strong! You have lots of people praying for you Myrick.

I wanted to send him a little "shout out" to let him know how great I think he is. He is the funniest guy. It's hard for him to be serious. Even as I text him on my phone right now, before he is heading into surgery, I asked him how he is doing. All he can talk about is- because he is fasting- that he has to miss breakfast! What a crazy kid. He has a tough time talking about feelings and saying "I love you." Maybe once he gets that hole in his heart fixed, he won't be so uncomfortable saying LOVE LOVE LOVE all the time. He is getting better, I used to say "I love you" to make him feel weird and he'd say it back just to tease with me. Now when he says it to me, I think he really means it! haha. I am thankful that Myrick and I were able to go to high school together (Go Cavemen). As far as older brothers go, he could have been mean and nasty to his nerdy little sister. I want to tell him thank you for being as good as he was. Every memory I have, with him in it, makes me laugh. Here are a few...
-Trying to impress Nicole and I by putting a ramen noodle up his nose and working so hard to get it to come out his mouth (gross! Be glad you didn't have to watch. Sorry, Nicole).
- He always used Red Vines as a straw in a glass of cold milk.
- We watched the comedian, Louis Anderson, over and over together. "Mom! Louis is looking at me again!"
- I loved watching him play soccer on the High School team. He was so good.
- Myrick had about 100 different cars during high school (thanks to my dad's hobby at the car auction). I'm thankful he was nice enough to give me a ride. Someone actually asked if Myrick was going to take me to PROM! They saw us ride to school everyday and I guess didn't know we were brother and sister. That shows what a nice brother he was to me! Hopefully that doesn't embarrass him too much.

Student of the Month!
Today was a big day for Etahn. He was chosen to be the Student of the Month! His teacher said she picked Ethan because he is, "Always excited to learn, he can count higher than 109, he knows all of his sight words, and he is one of the top students in his class." We are so proud of him. His picture will be in the Sunnyside newspaper.
He was so excited. His face was beaming up on stage.
This is Ethan's principal.
Ella and I were lucky enough to stay and have school lunch with Ethan. Too bad niether of them could look at the camera.
Ella gave Ethan the royal treatment after school. She let him ride in her baby stroller and she pushed him.

Since Ethan was Student of the Month, he received a certificate for a free "Ranch Burger." So for Family Home Evening we went to the Burger Ranch for dinner.

Without Being Asked
Today I was able to give a talk in sacrament meeting. The Bishop gave me the topic of "Without Being Asked." I talked about service and enriching others lives. I was read some scriptures that talked about the importance of loving and serving others. In Mosiah Chapter 2, King Benjamin talks about his life of service. He talks of the purpose of service is not to boast, but to be of a clear conscience before the Lord. We were sent here to talk care of each other. "When ye are in the service of your fellow beings, ye are only in the service of your God." I want to be able to have a clear conscience, knowing that I have served where I am needed. I pray I can be strong enough to do what Heavenly Father put me here for. I also found some scriptures that reminded me of the gifts and talents that Heavenly Father gives to each of us to help those that we associate with. I am thankful I was asked to speak today because it gave me a chance to truly reflect on the associations that I have had throughout my life. I have been so blessed to have an amazing family, wonderful friends, and inspiring examples. I know that I am loved by so many. I am humbled to have so many people in my life that amaze me. I pray that I can continue to learn and grow from the people that the Lord puts into my life. This is just my way of saying, "If you are reading this- you have touched me." I love you and thank you for all you have done. As I learn who I am, and continue to create the woman I want to become, I constantly think of those who have been incredible examples of gifts and talents I would like attain. What a wonderful world we live in with so many happy and loving people. Stay true to yourselves because something that you have, someone else does not. People need YOU for the things you can offer. I love you!
Can I get a ride?
Kent finally got himself a new car- a truck, in fact. Now he no longer has to ride his bike (Gary's bike) to work. A BIG "Thank You!" to my brothers at Robbins Motor Sports for helping us purchase it through the Seattle Auction. Kent has been very patient and deserves this. I'm so excited he chose a truck instead of a car. Now when I'm doing projects, I won't have to borrow other people's trucks anymore. It will interested who ends up using it more.
We did a little "over-nighter" on the way to pick up the truck. The kids love staying in hotels so they can swim.
I forgot to bring Ella a swim diaper, so after about 5 minutes in the water... her booty looked like this. Kent kept saying "Get used to it Ella. You got your mama's booty." Ha. Ha. Ha. Very funny.

"Sew" Easy
This dress was super easy to make. You just buy the material and sew one little seam down the side. Then I just added ribbon as little straps. It was harder to get Ella to hold still for a picture! Harder yet was the comment made by the Wal-Mart employee that helped me cut the fabric. While I was getting material, the girl behind the counter said, "Are you making this dress for your Grand-daughter?" I could have died!!! I came straight home and put on cold cream on my eyes! hahaha. The comment encouraged me to have my next theme party be one of a "Botox" inspiration. Moving on... enjoy the pictures!
