A day in the park

Cougars VS. Gators. Kent and Ethan dressed up as Cougars while Ella and I dressed as Gators. We played a friendly game but Kent and Ethan had an advantage- they both can run and catch! It was a fun day!

Trip to Utah

My precious niece, Jessica, and I went to a darling little boutique and bistro called "Dear Lizzie." We ordered a two pink sugar cookies and a "dizzy lizzy" drink. I just love that girl!

I had the chance to take the kids and go to Utah for my sister, Camille's, birthday. Poor Kent (or not so poor?) had to stay home and work. We went to PF Changs for dinner.

I Our brother, Greg, bought us a spa package and we spent the whole day being pampered!!! This is us getting our manicures- for some reason, having huge hotpads on our hands made us extra silly. The workers were ready for us to leave! What a great day.

Life in Sunnyside

Pumpkin Patch

The Martin's (Kent's boss) took some families for a hayride to their pumpkin patch and let everyone pick out some pumpkins.

Seattle Trip

Although we didn't actually go up in the Space Needle, we had a great weekend trip to Seattle.

We went to Pike's Market (with the double stroller) and fought through the crowds.
We spent an afternoon at the Aquarium and ate lunch at a little cafe on the Pier.

The kids had a great time at the Flight Museum with lots of interactive things for them to do. Ethan was able to do a simulated hang-gliding ride.

Grape Harvest

One of the unique things about Sunnyside is the grape harvest. The whole town smells like grapes.

We were lucky enough to get the chance to go to the vineyards and watch them harvest the grapes. This is my friend, Becky, and her kids. Her husband is in med school, so they will probably move this spring. I wish she would stay here. I have enjoyed getting to know her and love the person she is.

They have a huge tractor that actually straddles a row of grapes while gently shaking the vines to have the grapes fall off. The grapes are moved by a large conveyer belt to a trailor being pulled by a smaller tractor on the next row.
