Pictures from the reception

These are Christy's little sisters. They made adorable flower girls
Everyone loved the "candy bar!"
Here are pictures of the night (before the lights were lifted in the center).

This is the guest book table. Along with the "Take a Wish, Make a Wish." She had two jars on the table. One was filled with wishes from the bride and groom for their guests to take with them. The other jar was empty, with blank paper in front of it so the guests could write their wishes for the bride and groom and leave them in the jar. Christy saw that in a magazine and we loved the idea.

Reagran and I had some willing helpers that hammered this arbor together for the bride and groom to stand on.
We had their names, and a favorite quote, on the mirrors that surrounded the room.

Sunday Drive

We went for a little Sunday drive and saw this darling barn. Since Ella wasn't up for a photo shoot, this is really the only somewhat decent one. Maybe we'll try again another day. It really was darling with an orchard and a river. So beautiful.

Inspired

I bought myself a new sewing machine for Christmas and haven't used it as much as I hoped. I love colors and fabrics so why not do something with them? Lately, I have been itching to sew something. I'm putting it in writing that I want to learn to sew. I can do hems (right Reagran? wink. wink.). I want to make something darling though. Here are some fabrics that I just LOVE and I'm hoping they will inspire me to learn a new talent.

Darling Beanies

Kent's cousin, Jen, is a talented photographer. I want to be just like her when I grow up. As I was looking at her website today, I saw these darling beanies. You can check them out here!

Heartbreakers

My friend, Brooke, let me use a couple more of her kids as my little "subjects." We went to a tiny airport here in Sunnyside. The boys had a great time. I had an even better time- they are cute little boys. Thanks Brooke!

Where do they come from?

Kent and I are constantly looking at our children and asking, "Where do they come from?" Well.. here it is in black and white. You tell me who they follow after...

Tea Party

Katie was nice enough to let me have some time taking pictures of her lovely granddaughters.

Beautiful Bride

This beautiful woman is getting married this weekend. Kent and I have been lucky enough to have her babysit for us. She is the sweetest, happiest person I have known- truly. Reagran and I are decorating her wedding reception, so we've been working hard. I'll make sure to post some pictures of the special day. Here are some pictures of her in her wedding dress that she let me take.

Her colors are blue and cream. This fabric will be used as table cloths at the reception. Isn't she pretty?

Gotta get my chocolate fix!

I found Ella walking around with this chocolate bottle the other day. Man, this girl will do anything for a chocolate fix. I wonder where that comes from....?
Ella LOVES her brownie mix. She is actually shoving the spatula into her face with her other hand! Slow down girl! Okay... go ahead.

Easter Continues...

We were lucky enough to have Easter dinner with some good friends. Annie helped me decorate the table all "springy." What a blessing to have people dear to us and a wonderful life full of love. Reagran had a little activity with the kids. Each child received a "chick" that had a special name. Some of the names were: Joy (how can we find joy in our lives?), Hope (what does it mean to have hope?), Charity (how do we show charity to others?), etc. Everyone loved taking home their own little reminder of things that will bring us closer to Christ.
Don't forget the Easter feast! Thanks, Melanie, for this delcious glaze recipe for this ham. YUMMMY! Even the kids asked for second helpings! That never happens.
As you can tell, I love food. I just realized- I forgot the green beans!
What Easter feast is complete without carrot cake?

Happy Easter

Easter Egg Hunt

The Martin's have a perfect backyard for an Easter egg hunt (and pretty much everything else). Saturday morning we loaded up the kids and went to join our friends to find some eggs. They had a wonderful time out looking for the eggs all around the pond and the farm.

Ella and Annie having fun on the swings.
Ethan, Marcus, Cameron, Devon were laughing so hard on the trampoline.

Even daddy couldn't resist joining in on the fun!

Annie Celebrates in Style!

Annie had a Black/White party complete with a "Hairspray meets Project Runway" theme. Look how fabulous all the party-goers look! Even little Paris (the dog that Ella is holding). We set up a stage area for each of the models to have their photos taken before the fashion show.
I thought Ethan was coming to the party to hang out with Christian. I was wrong- Ethan was playing up the idea that he was the only guy there to be with 10 girls!
The whole house was darling!
Here is my little Ella making her way down the runway!

Little purses were stuffed with "girlie things" for each of the guests.
Even the umbrellas had polka-dots!
What a darling cake! Good job Robin (a friend).
Happy Birthday Annie! Everyone loves you! You are an amazing girl!
