Happy Birthday, Brent

Another great friend, Brent, is celebrating his birthday today. We are so happy to have he and Erin as our friends. In church Erin and I saw two very elderly couples sitting next to each other. Erin leaned over to me and said, "That is going to be Kent, you, Brent and me in about 50 years." It made me happy to think of all the fun memories we've already had together ("Cruisin' with Richard Simmons") and the many more to be made. Happy Birthday Brent!

A Day in Sunnyside

My parents and my little brother, Russell, along with his wife, Merrilee, and their kids came to visit us in Sunnyside this weekend. It was so fun to have visitors. It meant the world to us that they would take the time to drive all the way up here on their only long weekend. We took them on a five minute tour of the entire city of Sunnyside. This was our "big stop"- Kent's work.

Happy Birthday, Matt

Today is Matt's birthday. Matt was in dental school with Kent in Florida. He became one of Kent's closest friends. We are so thankful for him and his friendship. We miss him so much. Happy Birthday to you, Matt!

Breaking Dawn

Since I am in the midst of planning another wedding reception, decorating the new addition to the dental clinic and getting my house cleaned for my family to come visit Sunnyside for the first time- what more productive way to spend my morning than reading "Breaking Dawn"? I am loving this book. I wanted to wait until my to-do list was a little shorter so I could really relish in the final story of the saga. Since I am going with Reagran and Becky to the Stephenie Meyer concert on Tuesday in Seattle, I couldn't hold back. A good chunk into the book, I am remembering why I told myself to wait until my jobs were done- I can't put it down!

Peacock Wedding

Here are pictures of the recepetion that Erin and I decorated for. These pictures don't do it justice, but it turned out to be very nice. The bride's colors were peacock blue, lime green and gold (inspired from a peacock feather). We had a limited budget and limited time. Erin worked hard right along side me and we pulled it off.

Surf N Slide

Our family spent the day at a fun little water park about an hour away from home. We had such a great time!
