Summer Fun

Summer evenings are some of the best times to have fun and enjoy the nice weather with a game of street ball, playing with the dog or just chilling in the stroller with your favorite puppy pillow.  At almost any given time of the day you will see our street full of kids playing basketball.  I am so glad I have not one time had to tell Ethan that he is playing too many video games or watching too much TV this summer.  It has been wonderful!
Cannon enjoyed the nice weather, watching the basketball game from his stroller- a safe distance from the hoop.
Our once little white fur ball is now one big pooch!  Teddy has been really good for our family.  She is very patient with us since we have not had any time to take her to any obedience school or training.  She is fairly calm but when a stranger approaches our house she puts on a scary face and keeps intruders away.  The kids love her and she is great to let them squeeze her, and treat her like a horse (I'll let you figure out which one of my children might be doing that) and we have been lucky enough that she has never bit anyone.  Despite our lack of obedient schools,  Teddy has learned to trot, gallop, canter, do jumps and even wear a bridle sometimes during her playtime with Ella.  Anyhow, even though we were not planning on a dog- and if we were it would've been a smaller one that doesn't shed- we are glad Teddy's our dog.  Even Kent likes having her around and in return Teddy is a big fan of Kent's which I think secretly makes Kent like her even more.

I saw that same scene almost daily while I was there. All those boys play so well together. I never heard one disagreement! And that dog--well, I thought Kent just put up having him around. Was I ever wrong! Kent was the one who had as much fun as the kids! He would throw things for the dog to retrieve and run with him. And that dog just made the happiest sounds when Kent came around. That's great!
