Project Linus

Today I was able to donate a couple of hours to help at the church with the Humanitarian Aid and work on making quilts for Project Linus.

It makes me feel good to be able to be on the giving end, since Cannon has been the recipient of two Project Linus blankets. His first blanket received at the NIH and the second, just weeks later, at Seattle Children's Hospital.
Tying these quilts took me back to the feelings I had over a year ago when we were faced with so many scary events. I am so blessed to still have our sweet boy with us and he hasn't been in the hospital for a whole year! I'm so proud of my strong little man.

This is a picture of Cannon in December of 2011.

P.S. Ella has a special blanket that she calls "Pink Blankie". It looks a lot like this blanket, except in pink- obviously. When she is without her pink blankie it might as well be the end of the world. There is only ONE blanket that can put her to sleep. We left pink blankie at someone's house for a whole week and the only blanket she said made her feel good was Cannon's "blue blankie" because it looked like her blanket. This little blue blankie will be cherished forever by our whole family.
