Festivities

Dropping Ella off in the band room before her program, then running back to the car to assemble her bouquet that her brothers would give her after the performance, then running back to the auditorium before the curtain's opened, made me literally break into a sweat. Finally in my seat, my heart was happy as the curtain pulled back and among the darling costumed children and creative stage decor, there was my little Ella, looking for us and waving with a grin that you couldn't ignore. Ella is on the back row near the left, looking at the camera.
Ella even had a speaking part, which she practiced for and had memorized. She got shy on stage and needed a little help from her teacher.

The curtain closed and we gave Ella the bouquet she definitely earned. Following the program, Ethan and Ella went to play at Reagran's house so Kent and I could join some friends for dinner and a gift exchange party. You know the overused phrase, "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas"? That could be said about the party. It was just what I needed. Thank you everyone!
