The Jacksonville Zoo
No trip to Jacksonville is complete for Ethan, until we have seen the zoo. Of course with so many things to do while in Florida, the zoo kept getting pushed back another day and then another day. Since we were leaving town on Wednesday, Tuesday was our last chance. As it always goes- Tuesday was the rainiest day of them all. We met up with Laura and she said, "We are going to have fun whether we go to the zoo or not." All Ethan heard in that sentence was that we aren't going to make it to the zoo. Tears started welling up in his eyes and Laura immediately followed up with, "We are going to the zoo and we are going to have fun no matter what!" Laura took the kids and I and we had a great day (rain free) at the zoo.

Oh Ella looks so sweet with that animal! How awesome they got to go in and pet/brush/hug it. Sorry to hear of your airport disaster!
Looks like you guys are having such a fun time in Florida! Hope that your return flight tomorrow is less eventful than today.
And hey, it may be too cool for swimming down there, but it's way too cold to even think about a swim suit here!
That little Ella is quite the animal lover isn't she!! She is SO cute!! I love seeing Ethan's new teeth too!!
