Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss

Since Dr. Seuss would have been 105 on Monday. This week at school, Ethan has been celebrating Dr. Suess and his birthday. They have been doing things such as wacky day, pajama day, sports day and hat day. I love Dr. Seuss books and I know we all have atleast one book that we remember reading as a child written by him.

I love the characters in this picture. I'm trying to figure out if the Grinch wants to fix the tie or shred it into pieces- love his little expression here. Also the goat figure thingy that is staring Dr. Seuss in the eye and saying "Are you serious I have to stand on this tiny wobbly little thing?" What an imagination- I am glad he shared it with all of us.

my favorite part of Dr. Suess is that all of his funny looking trees that he drew were from the inspiration of the Torrey Pine trees at La Jolla beach in San Diego, where he lived. They are shaped by the wind. It is a little piece of information that us San Diegans are proud of! :-)
