Saturday was a full day of fun events to celebrate Sunny Days! We started they day with juice and donuts on our camping chairs at the parade, which Ella was lucky enough to be in! Community Dental was advertised with Gary driving his woody and designed with Erin's creative talents. They won the 1st place trophy in the antique car category. In this video you can hear our neighbor asking where Kent is at.... the BYU game. :)

Ethan caught a football they were throwing from one of the floats.
Apple Valley Dental. BOO! We don't like you, we don't like your toothbrushes, we don't like your candy! Go away, and never come to Sunnyside. Hah! Okay that was mean, I was kidding... but seriously.

After the parade, we went to the park for the car show. I just love this picture. These kids are awesome!

At the car show, they had booths and activities, one of which was bubble gum blowing! Brittany and Kathy entered and won a FREE something or other at the Burger Ranch, so it only made sense we went to Burger Ranch for lunch! Aren't my friends the coolest?

Lia actually lost a tooth while chewing her gum. Is anyone surprised with that huge wad of pink bubble gum?!

Once we were done eating lunch, Kathy and I took our kids over to the carnival to go on a couple rides. Well, Ella wanted to go on the tilt-a-whirl but wasn't allowed to ride without an adult. I couldn't stand to see her not be able to ride with the other kids so I threw caution to the wind, with the knowledge of how prone I am to motion sickness, and climbed aboard. It was not fun but not too bad. Then Ethan wanted to go on "The Zipper." Again, they would not let him ride without an adult and since I rode with Ella, I didn't see it to be fair not to do the same for Ethan. I shouldn't have. I was miserable for hours. It was the worst few minutes of my life! I screamed and screamed, then tried to laugh to avoid screaming, then I tried to keep my mouth shut so I wouldn't scream, then I tried to shut my eyes and have the ride end, then I opened my eyes so I wouldn't throw up, then I prayed for the ride to be over, then I begged them to stop the ride. Not my finest moment. If it makes me look any better, Ethan was LOVING it at the beginning and by the end, he was crying. Well, within an hour after the ride, we both threw up. Yuck. THE ZIPPER!!!!! What was I thinking?? Each of those cages- yes cages- spin individually along with the spinning of the entire ride. Yuck!
After the ride of my life, I had to go take Senior pictures for a friend's son. I literally picked myself up off of the floor, took some "plop-plop-fizz-fizz" and met them at the train tracks (those pictures will be posted next). Saturday night was Girl's Night out. We went to the Miss Sunnyside pageant. It was very... entertaining. Cannon blew out his diaper so I had to go out to my car, in the rain, to get a new outfit and change him- thank you Brittany for your help on that one. When we got back in, Cannon was just too tired and wanted to go home so I left early but still had a great day. Reagran and Annie were so sweet to "babysit" my kids and me while Kent was gone, so they came back after the pageant and slept over.

Natalie, I so identified with your description of the ride you went on. I had to learn the hard way, too! I don't care how much someone else wants me to go on one of those, I know I can't do it--knowing the same results! Hah! Anyway, glad you had such a great day otherwise, because we surely enjoyed having Kent here!
Sounds like a fun day . . . except the Zipper- - Wow you are brave! I didn't even brave that one when I was a teenager.
Did you know I know one of the Densists at Apple Valley Dental (they are in are ward) . . . ha ha!
That's a funny/sad story about the Zipper! I wanted to go on the Zipper when I was little, so my dad took me. After about 30 seconds of being flipped around, I went limp and started crying. My dad had to hold on to me to keep me from crashing into the walls of the cage. When the ride was finally over, my dad told me he was not taking me on anymore rides. If I wanted to go on rides like that again, I would have to wait until I was big enough to go alone.
Sorry you got sick. That's the pits!
Looks like you guys had all sorts of fun! Hope the carnival was just like CITY OF FUN! haha! Love you, miss you, wish you were here!
