Ballet Recital

June 14, 2013
The last day of school was also the end-of-the-year ballet recital on the "big stage" at the High School.  {Forgive this very poor photo shop job- I just wanted to show all the cute poses of our darling little ballerina.}  Ella is coming along so well with her dancing.  Usually she is very technical in her routine, to the point where we have to remind her to smile and be animated.  At the end of her performance she started exaggerating her curtsies and even blew showers of kisses to the crowd.  It was a riot.  I guess she really took our talk to heart.

Falling Behind

Remember the "I Love Lucy" episode where she is working in the chocolate factory?  The one where she starts to fall behind, so she keeps popping chocolates in her mouth?  Remember?  That is how I am feeling about my blog lately.  Too bad I don't have a chocolate motion belt that I am dealing with.

As Christmas nears, yes I realize that we are still a week away from Halloween, I feel like Lucy in the factory.  Life just keeps moving and I can't seem to keep up!  Beginning to think about photo books as Christmas gifts, I hopped on my much neglected blog to see where I'm at with photos and journaling; only to see that in "blog world" it's only the beginning of summer break!

Since joining Instagram, I have been posting my pictures there and forgetting to also add them to my blog.  As I've said before, my blog acts as my family history journal and therefore it is more important than Instagram to me- or so it should be.  Now that I've had this awakening, I plan on updating my blog and filling you in on all the fun summer adventures we've had and bring you up to date on what we are doing now.  Stay tuned!
